Latest News From Rob

...Thank you so much for the great weekend of kayaking.

Seems like only yesterday but it is actually a week ago today that Glenn & I took off (Twice) on the flight to Eyre.

...We had a fantastic time and the kids didn't stop talking about it on the way home!!

Just to thank you very warmly for your wonderfuly hospitality, information and enthusiasm for our canoe trip.

In early June 2010, Cooper Creek system of flood plains and lakes finally found its way to Lake Eyre. This has made a huge difference to the water in the eastern side of Lake Eyre.  The birdlife is arriving to breed and feed on the abundance of food that goes with a big flood. The last time the famous Cooper Creek made it all the way down to Lake Eyre was in 1990, so this is a rare event.

River Country Adventours is giving you the unique opportunity to witness this spectacular flooding of the Lake Eyre basin on well organised 2-day flight tours to Birdsville and Lake Eyre.

Read an excerpt from Rob's diary which captures the beauty of the Simpson Desert on his flight from Birdsville.

River Country Adventours was voted number 33 in the top 101 must do's for Victoria. Another great moment for us.

Top spot for canoeing at the moment is Nagambie. Contact Ian 0449 504 398.

Fishing is now available at Nagambie, what a great way to spend the day: paddling and fishing.
