During this easy paced tour you will witness commanding views over the surrounding districts. This is wild and forbidding country where the Kelly Gang had several hideouts in some remote regions. They established stock-holding yards for horses stolen in New South Wales and intended for sale in Victoria. It says much for the Kelly’s skills in bushcraft that they were able to drive herds of wild horses through these steep, timbered slopes. Nearby we visit Polly Mc Quinn’s Reservoir-haunted, according to legend, by the ghost of Polly Mc Quinn, who was swallowed up, with his wagon and team by a deep waterhole in these rugged parts. |
Tour will depart from Nagambie at 1000 hours and return around 1600 hours and there will plenty of time given for photographs and refreshments.
