Last
month's lucky winner for a camping and canoeing holiday on the Goulburn
River is Katrina Hards from Ballarat. The Goulburn River flows through
the Green Heart of Victoria. Thanks also for all the people who requested
the new tourism map, we have heaps and if you still want us to post one

Families
number one
Up until now kids under 12 with their parents on a camping and canoeing
adventure were half price. From now on the kids under 12 are free with
their parents or guardians. Children, especially the little ones, don't
take up much space, and we want to become known as a family business.
This does not include the self-guided safaris. We trust that this is received
well.
Fishing
More people fish in Australia than play golf. Australian kids growing
up in the country knew all about yabbies and how to catch them. Fishing
is built into all our canoeing and camping adventures, we provide the
bait, lines and gear and you try and catch them. You will need a license
if you are over 18, and Victorian Fishing Licenses are available from
River Country Adventours. It gives us so much pleasure to hear about all
your exploits and bad luck stories.
Competition
Here is your chance to win a free camping and canoeing holiday on the
Goulburn, with all the fishing gear thrown in. All you have to do is correctly
answer the question, and your entry will go into the 'hat' for the official
draw on January 10, 2005. As a once off just to see what happens, we will
offer a 10% off our canoeing products for every entry received. Only one
entry per person, and if you don't win the free holiday, you will still
get 10% off. The offer will remain until the end of March 2005 which includes
Easter this year. We will be very interested to see how this works, so
don't delay put your entry in now.

Ten years ago in a business plan we set out where we would like to be
as a business in the tourism industry in 2004. One of the things we aimed
for was to have a very friendly business, and that we would become leaders
in the industry. I think we are very friendly and organised, and are leading
the way with our canoeing and camping along some of our most beautiful
rivers. Thank you for your continued support, without good clients we
could not do this.
Canoeing
River Country Adventours has canoeing adventures on the Goulburn and can
cater for beginners. People of all ages can have a go at canoeing, it
is safe, fun and relaxing. In the Lower Goulburn the best way to see the
forest and the birds is from the river. For the more adventurous there
is the Upper Goulburn, and provided the river is not running a banker,
it is wonderful experience paddling down one of the most beautiful rivers
in the State. There are heaps of platypuses in the river, to see one in
the wild is terrific.
Canoes
for Sale
We still have a couple of new "Sunseeker" canoes for sale and 1-used Canadian.
The Holden Barina 1986 is still here and it needs a new battery and we
will sell it for $100.00. Reg. to Feb. 2005.
