"Travelling Victoria" has been sent far and wide for 12 months. We hope
we have a few more years to go. We learned a lot over the past year, and
from now on the popular competition will run for at least 10-days and
then the winner will be drawn from a hat. This will give the overseas
people a chance to enter.
Julia
Freidgeim from suburban Bentleigh is the winner of the last competition.
Julia knew that Kyabram is further north than Wangarattta and that Hamilton
is more westerly than Mildura, well done Julia. A free weekend on the
Goulburn awaits.
The
World Wide Web
All the previous editions of "Travelling Victoria" can be accessed on
our web www.adventours.com.au
The answer to this months competition can be found in "Travelling Victoria"
Vol. 10 (November 2000).
Question
What rare Australian animal has been sighted at the Wyuna campsite? The
winner will be notified on the 10th June by email, and the prize is a
free weekend camping and canoeing on the beautiful Goulburn River in Northern
Victoria. When you send your answers, please let me know what you think
of the background colour, and any other useful comments will be welcomed.
Tourism
Shepparton
A recently formed tourism Incorporation that is the combination of the
Shepparton District Tourism Association and the active Kialla group. We
have a keen interest in this exciting development as I have been elected
the inaugural secretary. We should be in a good position to know what
is going on.
Lake
Eyre Update
Two flight tours, first 3-days from June 16, and the second from June
26. The special price of $1,500.00 per person is for these June tours
only. There is some water in the lake, and the wildflowers are in bloom
in the deserts and the birds have started to arrive. It is estimated that
the birds take 4-days to fly to Lake Eyre, it takes us about 4-hours.

An initial relocation of around 18-koalas is expected at the Wyuna Campsite
